We live in a world of increasingly complex and inter-linked environmental and societal issues, such as disasters and migrations. Disasters, development, migration and climate change are among some of the most pressing issues facing our societies today. They are closely linked through a myriad of interconnections and causal connections and have recently been given more attention in the scientific literature, primarily from the perspective of development, climate change or so-called environmental migration
